How accurate are the ATAR predictions?

Modified on Mon, 17 Nov at 9:48 AM

CALCED is designed to provide a reliable and evidence-based estimate of potential ATAR outcomes. It incorporates the latest calculation criteria, scaling factors, and performance weightings provided by state education authorities to ensure accuracy and alignment with current assessment standards.

For WACE and other jurisdictions where raw scaling data is not publicly released, CALCED uses statistical modelling and historical performance benchmarks to generate accurate approximations. While individual results may vary due to factors such as yearly scaling adjustments or subject cohort performance, CALCED predictions consistently align closely with official ATAR outcomes when data becomes available.

CALCED should be viewed as a data-informed guide rather than an official ATAR calculation, helping students and schools track progress, identify subject strengths, and make informed study decisions throughout the year.
