How does the ASSESSED platform handle open-ended responses?

Modified on Mon, 17 Nov at 9:42 AM

ASSESSED is designed to reflect the assessment styles used across different state and national curricula. Each course includes question types that match the structure and expectations of its jurisdiction, including multiple-choice, short-answer, and extended-response questions, depending on the subject and level.

For courses that include open-ended or written-response components, ASSESSED supports both manual teacher marking and AI-assisted evaluation. The integrated AI tools analyse written answers against key concepts and marking criteria, recognising a range of valid phrasing and terminology.

This provides students with consistent, timely feedback while allowing teachers to retain full control to review, adjust, or override automated scores as needed. This flexible approach ensures that feedback is accurate, scalable, and aligned with the authentic assessment standards of each course and jurisdiction.
