How long is each assessment?

Assessment length varies depending on the type:

• Check Your Understanding: 5-15 minutes

• Topic Tests: 20–45 minutes

• Exam Builder tasks: Typically 90-120min, but can be flexible, based on teacher settings

• Full Exams: Mirror the length and structure of your curriculum authority’s exam

• Syllabus-to-Date assessments: 20–40 minutes and fully auto-scored

Teachers or schools may set additional timing rules for assessments.

How long do I have access to an assessment?

For school-managed accounts:

You have access for the duration of your school’s licence, unless your teacher sets visibility dates or submission windows.

For individual purchases:

You retain access to your assessments for the duration of your subscription for your chosen subject.

If an assessment has a timer

If your assessment includes a countdown:

• The timer begins when you start

• Your answers auto-save as you progress

• When the timer expires, the attempt closes and submits automatically
